CineView

CineView

Your movie and TV library, on the big screen.

Movies & TV on Apple TV. Browse with TMDB posters and plots, pick up where you left off, and stream from your own media — no cloud library upload.

Features

Living-room browsing for a real media shelf

CineView is the Apple TV front-end for libraries you already keep on disk — not another streaming subscription.

How it works

Three pieces. One couch.

  1. 01

    Keep your library on disk

Movies under genre folders, TV Series under Show / Season / Episode — CineView indexes what you already have.

  2. 02

    Run the local player

A small Node service on your Mac enriches titles with TMDB and streams video over HTTP.

  3. 03

    Connect from Apple TV

Open the CineView tvOS app, pick the public player host, LAN address, or Bonjour discovery — no PIN.

Privacy

Your media stays yours

CineView does not upload your movie or TV files to a cloud library. Playback is served from the player on your network (or a tunnel you control). Optional TMDB lookups fetch posters and plots for titles you already own — not a streaming catalog of someone else's content.
